okay, you probably want to check this post, they made a list about Saiyuki anime in order! To be honest, I never watch the OVAs before and I watched straight from Gensoumaden Saiyuki, Saiyuki Reload, then Saiyuki Reload Gunlock. This is probably why I feel like I missed some of the stories and I think I need to read the manga. I’m thinking to re-watch the whole series, this time, in order!
OH TRUST ME THEY’RE ALL COOL DUDES AND I CAN’T CHOOSE HAHA. When I was younger I didn’t really realize but saiyuki was actually one of the biggest fucken’ tease of my childhood. IDK they wanted to make an adventure anime with a half-naked boyband group or something who’s gay for each other. Ha!
In short, if you have enough spare time to watch it (while waiting for Voltron S3), do watch it. The humor, jokes, friendship, drama, angst, character development and plot story are just about perfect. It is a long series and I think it needs a little bit of commitment to watch it but hey, it’s worth it!
